Sorry, we know it has been a long long time since we wrote anything on the blog. But we have been so busy over Christmas and our posters have been selling really well on Not On The Highstreet. Hurray!!!
We will soon release new posters for you all!
We would love to share our best-seller with you, 'The Family'. You can now not only add your dog or cat to the poster, but a rabbit or a fish bowl!
Are you all ready for Christmas? Got all your presents?
I was extremely organised in October (yes started early), but I have realised that there is so much more to organise...............simply don't have the time.
I am really looking forward to Christmas this year and the children are sooooo excited, they are counting the days!
Wednesday
Last Sunday I helped my very good friend Linda from Scandi Living to run a stand at the Scandinavia Show at Olympia in London. Great opportunity to do a bit of research for our poster business and hand out lots and lots of flyers. Unfortunately we were fighting with the sun outside and the show wasn't as busy as the Saturday. Scandi Living had a great stall and attracted lots of visitors who were especially drawn to the Pappelina rugs. Of course I mentioned how hugely popular they are in Sweden and that almost half the population is walking on Pappelina rugs daily!! Hopefully soon Scandi Living will stock our posters!
So what can you expect from a Scandinavia Show more than great atmosphere, nice food, stylish design? Well there was nothing wrong with the food, in fact the food was really nice and authentic. They offered everything from the obvious herring to reindeer and some funny brown cheese from Norway which didn't go down well with the non-scandi people. And then of course Scandinavian Kitchen was there with a stall full of sweets, sweeets, sweeeets......
Regarding stylish design, you could certainly wish for more. Apart from my friend's stand, other businesses worth mentioning was Skandium selling the very best of Scandinavian design, Nordic Elements with fantastic beanbags and trays which you can make into wall units to store your collection of cars, robots, the Sylvanian Families etc. As an eBay addict rummaging through the pages searching for the best piece of vintage furniture I was VERY pleased to see and DROOL over the Danish-Homestore furniture... just wishing I had a couple of extra golden coins...
For next year I want MORE Scandinavian fashion, interior design and vodka, please! Bye for now!
RAIN RAIN RAIN......come shine...SOOON I HOPE!!!! This must have been the worst autumn for a very long time! I seem to remember that last year we had an Indian summer with that autumn sun shining constantly. Well well at least it gives me the opportunity to do some clearing up at home...
I'm fairly good with getting rid of clothes and toys but what I forgot are all the shoes that have been gathering dust in the wardrobe, many of them hardly used AT ALL!!! Should I give to charity or perhaps try to sell on Ebay?? Would someone like to buy my shoes which are neither new and fashionable nor not yet vintage and cool?
